Food & Hotel Asia 2012 (FHA2012), held biyearly at Singapore Expo, will
start on April 17. TAITRA (the Taiwan External Trade Development
Council) will lead not only Taiwan food companies but also 22
dining-related companies under the theme of ?Taiwan! Delicious Beauty?,
focusing on creative design and aesthetic living to expand the business
opportunities for Taiwan?s cultural and creative industry.
With the flourishing of Taiwan?s cultural and creative industry, TAITRA
specially established the Service Industry Promotion Center in 2006 to
drive the development of Taiwan?s service industries, one of which is
the cultural and creative industry. With consumers? needs trending
toward aesthetics and with the power of design adding value, the output
value of Taiwan?s product design business exceeded USD 2.1 billion in
2010, with exports over 10% of the total. Among Taiwan?s design
products, those related to dining combine with advanced cultural and
creative design to produce greater business opportunities.
Both star-rated hotels and boutique hotels want tableware, utensils, and
culinary equipment with strong personalization and fashion factors.
Taiwan dining-related products exhibiting various styles and ingenious
concepts can reveal Taiwan dining culture to the international market.
TAITRA will lead 22 Taiwan dining-related companies with products like
packaging and brand design offered by Ideoso Design, Matchart?s creative
tea sets that were recognized by the 2011 Taipei World Design Expo,
Ricco?s food-grade silicone housewares, Finding Cheska?s story-telling
porcelain tableware, and JIA?s cookware and tableware to show Taiwan?s
graceful dining culture.
Marvelous design, fine tableware, conceptual art bottles, high-fashion
tea sets, and eco-friendly work uniforms totally beyond your imagination
are all displayed in the Taiwan Pavilion (6F3-01 and 4F4-01), a
must-visit area for representatives from hotels, restaurants, and
bakeries.
